ACTIVITY LEVEL: Steady VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Timid MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 8/1/17- Observed Behavior – shy but easy going, allows handling ENRICHMENT NOTES: 7/31/17 Asleep behind litter box, woke when door opened. Lay in place, tense posture. Closed eyes when pet, otherwise held immobile. 8/1/17 Resting in top cubby, alert, eyes a little dilated. Lay in place, allowed, and slightly leaned into pets, but remained unsure. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Juliet remains tense, crouched position hiding in the cubby during the approach. Reaction to cage door opening: Juliet’s body stiffens up, alert with squinting eyes, ears erect and forward. Reaction to touch: Juliet closed her eyes during the touch and remained curled up with no interest with the interaction. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Juliet tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
