Reaction to touch: Juju stands with tail up then walks toward the front to head-butt the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: He calmly jumps back into the cage. Placement determination: Average Juju interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents. Behavior on 9/10/16: Experience Reaction to assessor: Juju looks shy, crouched position with head up on his cage bedding when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Juju remains alert with normal shape eyes, lip licking in place. Reaction to touch: Juju accepts the stroke, but shows no interest to the touch and remians immobile. Placement determination: Experience Juju tolerates attention and petting, but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
