JOPLIN – A1109426
Safe - 4-27-2017 Brooklyn
SAFE 4/27/17 Joplin is a young, long-haired lady who’s charming every person here at BACC! She enjoys being petted, spending time with people, and is incredibly adorable and social. She can become overstimulated, but only after a fair amount of interaction (and who wouldn’t when you’ve gotta keep that gorgeous coat maintained?) This lovely lady is ready to go to her new forever home!
Joplin was brought in with housemate Janis (who is FELV+) when her owner died. She is not happy and needs a new home.

Super sweet, rubbing her cheeks up against the kennel furnishings. Social and friendly. Backs away when the kennel door opens. Sniffs my hand then immediately gives a soft head butt. Allows petting all over her body. Her tail sways back and forth the more you interact with her. Adorable, doesn’t mind being held, and even allows being held like a baby. Hair pilo-erects and appears to show signs of OS. Takes a lot to get her to that point. Played a little rough with her to test her threshold. Whips around and hisses when she gets aroused but she cools down quickly. Goes right back to soliciting attention, climbs on lap and rolls around.

Joplin walked out of the carrier right away and nuzzled the counselor’s hand. She would lift her hind end when pet as well. When petted she stopped and hiss but started to nuzzle the counselor’s hand again. She was given wet food and ate right away. She allowed collaring and photos while she ate. She walked back in her carrier after the food was placed inside.
