Just 3 years old and NEUTERED JO JO is already facing death thanks to an inconsiderate owner not finding a home that would allow pets! He gets along with kids 13 and up. Never been socialized around cats or dogs! Make JO JO a permanent part of your family, or at least FOSTER until someone comes along who can!

08/13/16 19:34 Jojo is a 3 year old black and white DSH. He was given to owner from previous owner and has been in their care for 9 months. He is being surrendered into the center due to landlord. There are no known health injuries or concerns. Around strangers he is friendly, also lived with children 13 and older and is relaxed and affectionate. He doesn’t play with children he plays along or with adults. There is no known experience with other cats of dogs. There is no known history of him biting another animal or person. During car ride he will cry. There is no known history of him having litter box accidents. He has gotten his nails trimmed by a groomer. He isn’t bothered when his coat is being brushed, will struggle when being placed in a carrier and isn’t bothered when disturbed sleeping. Jojo i described as being friendly, affectionate and talkative with a medium activity level. When home he will be in the same room. He likes to play with balls, string and laser pointer. He was indoors only and slept anywhere comfortable. He is litter box trained using an uncovered box with clumping litter. He scratched on a vertical post made of rough rope.

As per previous owner, Around strangers Jojo is friendly. Jojo also lived with teenagers. He is relaxed and affectionate towards them. He didn’t play with the teenagers. Jojo played alone or with the adults. Jojo has no known experience with other cats of dogs. Jojo is described as being friendly, affectionate and talkative with a medium activity level. When home he will be in the same room. Jojo likes to play with balls, string and laser pointer. He was indoors only and slept anywhere comfortable. Reaction to assessor: Jojo was sleeping inside the cat den When spoken quietly: Jojo looks at the assessor through the holes in the cat den Reaction to door cage opening: Jojo comes out of the cat den and remains relaxed Reaction to touch: Jojo allows petting and attention Try picking cat up: Jojo is tolerant of this type of handling. Behavior Determination: Average At the time of the assessment Jojo was displaying calm behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Jojo is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
