Observed Behavior -slightly unsocialized but allows handling
Evidence of Cruelty seen -n
Evidence of Trauma seen -n
Objective
BCS 5/9
EENT: Eyes clear, AU-mild waxy discharge, nonpruitic, no nasal or ocular discharge noted
Oral Exam:mm lgt pk/pk, moist; deciduous dentitia
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: initially auscultated possible grade II/VI murmur but could not repeat upon reauscultation
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: male intact, 2 testicles (slip between inguinal and scrotal)
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, flea debris, no masses noted, no alopecic lesions, neg wood’s lamp exam
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal:grossly normal
Assessment
1. Possible ringworm exposure
Prognosis:good with treatment
Plan:
-DTM culture started from litter
-treat at ringworm pending DTM culture
-itrafungol 0.5 ml PO SID x 21 days
-rec’d lime sulfur dips twice weekly until DTM culture neg
-reauscultate to ensure no heart murmur (not suspected)
SURGERY:temp waiver due to possible ringworm exposure
