**SAFE 08/23/16** JIMMY NEEDS YOUR EXTRA HELP TONIGHT TO LIVE – HE IS FIV POSITIVE AND NEW HOPE RATED!! JIMMY’s owner dumped his 8 year old cat for “pet health”. WHY? FIV cats can live long lives and can also live with other non-FIV cats. Poor JIMMY not only is now afraid, but has been given a lousy photo, and warehoused for 3 days with no help from the Animal “could care less” center, in finding a new home. JIMMY needs as much help as he can get tonight. CAN YOU FOSTER? ADOPT? PLEASE EMAIL THE HELP DESK AT [email protected] NOW!!

08/21/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Jimmy was hiding at the back of the cage When spoken quietly: Jimmy continues to hide Reaction to door cage opening: Jimmy remains motionless Reaction to touch: Jimmy tries to flee and does not allow petting Try picking cat up: Did not attempt Behavior Determination: NewHope Jimmy was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. Jimmy seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment he was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. Jimm may require further investigation before placement in a home. He is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
