Jessie was resting, but he wakes and blinks sleepily at the assessor.
Reaction when softly spoken to:
Jessie looks at the assessor, and then places his head back down to rest.
Reaction to cage door opening:
Jessie hisses at first, but he rubs his body against his cage furnishings when coaxed.
Reaction to touch:
Jessie head-butts and leans in for petting. He arches his body and begins to purr lightly, but he tenses up at times and his tail waves.
Reaction to being picked up:
Jessie is tense during pick up, but allows to be held and will wiggle to be placed back down after a moment.
TM – Treatable-Manageable
Jessie interacts with the observer and appreciates attention, but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
