***SAFE 04/26/16*** 9 MONTH OLD KITTEN POSSIBLY PREGNANT ON DEATH ROW! Poor little JERRI. Scared to death, not allowing anyone to touch her because she knows what awaits her. She has eared a ‘rescue only’ rating and this will get her, and kittens if she is pregnant, killed. JERRI is just a baby herself, and with time, patience and some kindness in a quiet home would come around. But she won’t get a chance to d that unless someone steps in to save her. Won’t you please save this little girls life by offering to foster her for a rescue?

04/21/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Our enrichment facilitator has interacted with Jerri and at the time she was tense. Jerri hisses and arches back with her tail curled up. Jerri does not allow contact. Jerry eyes were focused with her paw raised. Reaction to assessor: Jerri was very tense in the litter box and appeared wary of the assessor When spoken quietly: Jerri continued to watch the assessor from the litter box Reaction to door cage opening: Jerri remains motionless Reaction to touch: Jerri runs around the cage when attempted to pet and becomes very uncomfortable when touched Try picking cat up: Did not attempt to pick up Jerri Behavior Determination: NewHope Jerri was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. Jerri seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment. Jerri was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate much petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
