Details on my behavior are…
Behavior Condition: 1. Green
KNOWN HISTORY:: Jenny was brought in as a stray, so there is no information on their behavior history or tendencies in a home environment. Her finder was able to pick her up and place her into a carrier.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:: 01/06/18 Allowed all handling
Cage Condition:: Cage is recently cleaned
Reaction to assessor:: Jenny was eating upon approach.
Reaction when softly spoken to:: Jenny looks at the assessor with soft eyes, and then resumes to eat again.
Reaction to cage door opening:: Jenny becomes alert and focuses on the assessor.
Reaction to touch:: Jenny hisses when touched and shifts away from contact, hunching over. She continues to hiss, but she allows gentle petting all over and later stops hissing. She remains tense and appears unsure, looking at the assessor with dilated eyes.
ACTIVITY LEVEL:: Moderate
VOCAL:: Quiet
CHARACTER TYPE: : Shy ,Timid,Independent
BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION: : Experienced, adult only
Behavior Asilomar: TM – Treatable-Manageable
BEHAVIOR SUMMARY:: Please note that this cat is being treated for a medical condition at the time of evaluation. It is difficult to determine at this time how the medical condition may be affecting the behavior. Jenny tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home.
