05/01/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Jake was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Jake was curled up on top of his feral den with wide eyes focused on the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Jake’s ears bend flat and his tail is curled up alongside his body. Reaction to cage door opening: Jake remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Jake hisses and swats as you approach him. He arches his back and allows no contact. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Jake is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. He has tried to swat and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
