10/27/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Jafar was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Jafar was lying down at the front of the kennel looking out at her surroundings. Reaction when softly spoken to: Jafar rises up slowly moves away then curls up with her tail at her side. Reaction to cage door opening: Jafar is hesitant and looks around wary of her surroundings. Reaction to touch: Jafar is unsure of contact and slowly shifts away from the assessor’s hand while stress meowing. Her tail is curled up at her side and she closes her eyes and becomes immobile when pet. She has a slightly tense body, seems uncomfortable then slowly moves away. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Jafar tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
