12/07/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Jade was crouched over her litter box near the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Jade seems curious, leans forward to greet the assessor then lip licks. Reaction to cage door opening: Jade remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Jade lowers her head and seems hesitant when the assessor extends his hand out. She allows petting briefly then slowly inches away from the assessor. Her tail stays lowered, she looks around wary of her surroundings and doesn’t come forward when coaxed. Determination: Experience No Child Jade tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
