10/31/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Jadakiss was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She appeared nervous upon intake and was tense during her initial medical exam, attempting to flee. Reaction to assessor: Jadakiss was resting by the back, curled up in the corner. Reaction when softly spoken to: Jadakiss doesn’t respond and appears to be feint sleeping. Reaction to cage door opening: Jadakiss becomes alert, but remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Jadakiss sniffs the assessor’s hand, but shifts away when petting was attempted. She allows petting with a slow approach, and remains motionless as she lip licks and blinks. She eventually shifts away and curls her tail tightly against her body. Behavior Determination: Experienced, No Children Jadakiss tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
