***SAFE 08/17/16*** THREE LOVELY KITTENS, ONE AWFUL FATE! Brought in as strays near the end of July, IRVA, IRVING and IRVS are hoping to catch a hero’s eye, tonight! These kittens are guesstimated to be 5 months old and all have nice EXPERIENCE ratings, but the one thing they all lack is a loving home. Fostering and adopting are the only ways to make sure these babies can go on to enjoy long, healthy lives. Please advocate relentlessly for IRVA, IRVING and IRVS tonight!

07/31/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Irvs was sleeping with his sibling in the middle of the cage When spoken quietly: Irvs looked at the assessor nervously with wide eyes Reaction to door cage opening: Irvs remains motionless Reaction to touch: Irvs leans away when touched but allowed all petting Try picking cat up: Irvs is tolerant of this type of handling but tense. Behavior Determination: Experience Irvs was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices he relaxed a little and I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. I was also able to pick him up and although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
