No other information could be provided during intake. Intake Behavior: During intake Iori had tense, stiff body. Iori allowed to be scanned (negative), collared, pictured, and placed in a cat kennel.

Iori was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. His finder was able to place him into a carrier and bring him to the care center. He had a tense and stiff body upon intake, but allowed all handling to be conducted. Reaction to assessor: Iori was lying down, calm and relaxed. Reaction when softly spoken to: Iori doesn’t come to the front, but blinks softly. Reaction to cage door opening: Iori remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Iori was a bit hesitant, but sniffs the assessor’s hand and accepts petting. He slowly warms up, starts to knead, and purrs. He is very sweet and slowly comes to the front, but will retreat again when approached too quickly. Reaction to being picked up: Iori remains calm and nuzzles against the assessor. Behavior Determination: Average Iori interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
