ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Shy, Sweet ENRICHMENT NOTES: 5/14/17- Laying towards the back, eyes a bit dilated, looking around. Lay in place when door opened, allowed all pets with very minor lip licking. No real response. Seems wary of surroundings. 5/15/17- Laying under kuranda bed, tense, head down, eyes dilated. Initially held immobile when pet, minor lip licking, then lifted rear for butt scratches and softened significantly. Wound up standing and leaning into pets! Still a bit shy, but definite improvement. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Ink looks neutral, lying down on his cage bedding when approached by the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Ink remains immobile, alert with normal shape eyes. Reaction to touch: Ink slowly leans into the assessor’s hand but seems more comfortable resting in place. Reaction to Being Picked up: He becomes antsy then jumps back into the cage. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Ink interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
