Re-Exam (7/12/16)
Not examined – but from cage door, pt is hunched in a corner, shivering.
Put heating pad in cage.
LRS 10 ml SQ BID x2 days.
Nutrical 1 ml PO BID x3 days.
Full exam and tx plan to be done tomorrow.
Exam (7/13/16)
S-eating well when given food
O-BAR, grooming in cage, pink mm, hydrated
EENT-missing OD, elevated third eyelid OS with corneal film of visible eye, CAU, no nasal d/c
PLN-all wnl
H/L-no m/a, clear and eup
GI-negative oral, SNP
GU-FI, nsf
MSI-BCS 3/5, amb x 4, coat is slightly unkempt esp on HL feet bilaterally
Neuro-normal palpebral, PLR and menace unable to be assessed, nystagmus of OS noted with fast phase to left, amb x 4 without ataxia
A-4 wo FI DSH
1. atrophied OD
2. conjunctivitis with corneal changes OS
3. nystagmus
P-continue LRS and nutrical. monitor appetite
start erythromycin OS BID x 7 days
keep in medical to recheck neuro
prognosis overall good
