INTIAL EXAM
DVM Intake Exam Findings
History Found yesterday outside. Finder fed diluted cow’s milk.
Subjective Mews appropriately when stimulated
Objective
BCS 4/9, MMs pink, cold to touch
EENT: Eyes and ears still closed. No nasal discharge noted.
Oral Exam: No teeth
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: Male kitten
MSI: Moves all legs appropriately, no lesions noted. Good fur coat. Skin very erythematous. Umbilical cord still attached.
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Assessment: Approximately 3 day old male kitten, cold to touch
Plan:
1. Heat
2. Hydrate
3. Feed
In that order!!
