ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Timid MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 7/216/17- Observed Behavior: striking at cage and resists handling with hissing ENRICHMENT NOTES: 7/26/17- Curled up on bedding, nursing kittens, eyes dilated, alert. Lay in place when door opened, curled up tighter when pet, looked around. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Hope remains tense, lying down on her cage bedding during the approach. Reaction to cage door opening: Hope remains tightly curled up in place, alert with eyes wide open, ears erect and forward. Reaction to touch: Hope flinches when touched and remains immobile, while her head turns away from the assessor’s hand. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Hope may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home.
