***SAFE 06/07/16*** SENIOR GAL BETRAYED! Honeybun was adopted out from the ACC as a tiny kitten. Now, at 12 years old this beautiful SPAYED calico lady finds herself crammed back into a tiny cage because her “owner” was evicted and abandoned her! Someone found her and dropped her back at the shelter. This poor sweetheart is probably completely heartbroken! Didn’t her previous “owner” learn that this is no way to treat a lady? Honeybun has been given an EXPNOCHILD rating. She is tense in the shelter, but with a slow approach allows petting. This senior gal needs a retirement home ASAP. A REAL home, that will not turn their backs on her, one that’s furr-ever! Honeybun began her life at the ACC, and now it will end in the same place if someone doesn’t step up for her TONIGHT! She only has UNTIL NOON TOMORROW TO BE SAVED! If you have a sunny spot and a warm lap for this sweetie to curl up in, please offer to FOSTER/ADOPT her now! She doesn’t deserve to die like this, please hurry!

06/02/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Honeybun was sleeping in the middle of the cage When spoken quietly: Honeybun continues to sleep Reaction to door cage opening: Honeybun remains motionless Reaction to touch: Honeybun allows petting with a slow approach ove time she will start to purr Try picking cat up: Honeybun is not tolerant of this type of handling and will growl if moved. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child HoneyBun was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying timid behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices she relaxed a little. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children.
