SAFE 7/12/17 Beautiful white cat was dumped by her owner because “O/S due to no time for cat and owner is creeped out by extra toes and does not like that the cat sheds”……are they kidding? Please give Holy a new home today! She is a bit nervous in the shelter but would appreciate an owner that will cherish her uniqueness.

Medical Summary DVM Intake Exam Estimated age: reported to be 2yrs, but may be older (est 3-5yrs based on dental dz) Microchip noted on Intake? no History : O/S due to no time for cat and owner is creeped out by extra toes and does not like that the cat sheds Subjective: Cat is BARH. Observed Behavior – Shows signs of fear (pupils dilated, tries to flee, hissing) but does not escalate to aggression; requires slow approach, slow movement. Restraint needed throughout exam, cat tries to escape. Startled by quick movements and noises. Evidence of Cruelty seen – no Evidence of Trauma seen – no Objective T = NA P = wnl R = wnl BCS 6/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted Oral Exam: Grade 3/4 dental dz. PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: guarded, cat begins growling during abdominal palpation U/G: wnl MSI: Ambulatory x 4, cat has extra digits RF paw and is missing a digit LF paw (horny-like growth where digit should be), there is an approx 1cm area of alopecia with flaking/crusting on top of head (r/o defect vs scar from old trauma) CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Rectal: not performed Assessment: Congenital defect(s), Overweight Plan: Acceptable candidate for adoption or rescue pending behavior evaluation. Recommend weight loss of 1-2 lbs. Congenital defects seem minor and would not expect them to cause problems in future, but potential adopter should be made aware of them. Prognosis: Good-Excellent SURGERY: Okay for surgery
