EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted
Oral Exam: NP
U/G: Vulva UR – could not examine for spay scar due to being fractious
MSI: Ulcerated cranial right mammary gland mass
Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: np
Assessment – Ulcerated cranial right mammary gland mass
Feline mammary tumors are generally either carcinomas or adenocarcinomas
Prognosis: Poor
Plan: Onsior 2mg/kg (0.4ml) SID SQ for 3 days
EHR or Radical mastectomy is recommended for cats with MGT or Euthanasia
Aggressive surgery yields a disease free interval of 1 year in about 50% of cats and 2 years in 32% of cats.
