I am a male black and white domestic mh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 2 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 10/22/2016 from NY 10456, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

11/02/16 16:52 URI signs noted on rounds move to iso start treatment: doxycycline 10mg/kg sid x 10d 11/1/16 No signs of URI, BAR and eating well. 10/31/16 12:51 questionable sneeze marks seen on glass–recheck tomorrow 10/23/16 13:32 Small 1 cm diameter patch of alopecia at tail, mid way. No scaling or evidence of infection – appears to be healed scar tissue. Rest of PE NSF A: Alopecia from scar P: No treatment needed. Medically available. 10/22/16 16:20 Basic information: Hogwarts was found as a stray on 10/22/16. His finder described him as friendly and affectionate. He allowed her to pet him, pick him up and put him in a carrier. Behavior during intake; Hogwarts had a relaxed body. He allowed me to pet him and collar him. He was head butting and purring and showed no signs of aggression.

A volunteer writes: Hogwarts is one relaxed cat! He LOVES treats!! He loves to be petted and held. When you are petting and holding him he is so relaxed! When you talk to him he seems to understand and answers you. He lets you pet him while he is eating. That is how confident he is! He comes right up to the front of the kennel asking you to pet him. This cat will fit in any loving home. Hogwarts is at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. Come take your new family member home!

Hogwarts was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. His finder described him as a friendly and affectionate cat, allowing them to pet him, pick him up, and place him inside a carrier. He had a relaxed body upon intake and allowed the counselor to handle him. He was head-butting and purring, and did not display any signs of aggression. Reaction to assessor: Hogwarts was lying down and was calm, relaxed, and friendly. Reaction when softly spoken to: Hogwarts approaches the front and reaches out gently with his paw. Reaction to cage door opening: Hogwarts remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Hogwarts head-butts, leans in for petting, and begins to purr. He is very affectionate throughout the interaction. Reaction to being picked up: Hogwarts remains calm and continues to purr when held. Behavior Determination: Beginner Hogwarts interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat can go to a beginner home.
