Hx: dx with URI 6/12, has been doing well at foster since 6/16, alopecia noted on L ear pinnae, presents for ringworm check
S:slightly nervous, resists exam, flightly but shows no aggression
O:
well hydrated
EENT: no nasal or OU dc, ear canas clar AU,
Oral: not examined
Int: alopecia and mild crusting on outer AS pinna, woods lamp negative
H/L: NMA, clear lungs, eupnic
Abd: snp, no masses palpable
MS: 4x ambulatory
Neuro: BAR, no obvious deficits

crusting alpoecic lesion r/o infectious (dermatophytosis vs other) vs allergic vs trauma vs other

Woodslapm negative
DTM culture started
no treatment at this time
monitor lesion for spread or other change
low level of suspicionfor ringworm at this time

S/O: brought back by foster- as per foster, doing well at home. DTM results:
DTM changes consistent with Ringworm. P is ringworm positive
QAR in kennel- once taken out, BAR
SKIN: pinnae- alopecia with mild crusts
EENT: pink gums, no URI signs
HL: NSF, eupneic, no m/a
A: positive for ringworm
P: itrafunfol 10mg/ml: 2.2ml PO SID x21days
and rec lime dip 2x/week, consider running repeat DTM or Ringworm PCR at 2 weeks to determine if needs to continue treatment further (unless lesions are present then should con’t treatment)
ringworm positive will remain at ACC for treatment
prognosis: good
DTM changes consistent with Ringworm. P is ringworm positive, will dispense
itrafunfol 10mg/ml: 2.2ml PO SID x21days

Reaction to assessor: Hermit immediately comes soliciting at the front of the cage.
Reaction to door opening: Hermit remains standing at the front of the cage, relaxed body posture, soliciting attention.
Reaction to touch: Hermit head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body.
Reaction to being picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm.
BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner
Hermit interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting.
This cat can go to a beginner home.
