EENT: Eyes and ears closed still, no nasal or ocular discharge noted
Oral Exam: no teeth yet, NSF.
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: Female
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, many clumps of maggot eggs seen on back and legs, flea dirt seen, no masses noted, otherwise healthy hair coat. No wounds seen. Dried umbilical cord still present.
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: not done
Assessment:
<1 wk F DSH
Maggot eggs on hair coat but no wounds seen.
Prognosis: Guarded
Plan: clean off maggots and bathe with 1/2 capstar mixed with water. Too young for deworming and vx.
Contact rescue – bottle babies.
SURGERY:
Temporary waiver due to underage.
