ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Bold, Skittish MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 5/10/17-Observed Behavior – timid, tries to flee ENRICHMENT NOTES: 5/11/17- Heart murmur, raised third eyelid on right side. Curled up behind litter box, head down. Flattened ears and hissed when door opened. Continued to lay in place and started lip licking when pet. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: The cat looked tense, tightly curled up at the back during the approach. Reaction to cage door opening: The cat became alert with eyes wide open and hissed. Reaction to touch: His ears went flat to the side while he continued to hiss and stiffened up in place. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: The cat may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home.
