*** SAFE 10/01/16 *** HAILEY NEEDS YOUR HELP TONIGHT!!….It’s bad enough that HAILEY has a bulging eye that needs vet care but for an owner to dump this sweet and mellow senior at a kill shelter and claim after 12 years that they have “Allergies” is just too much to bear…..HAILEY is a real sweetheart who uses her litterbox, is SPAYED and is BEGINNER rated!! This was HAILEY at intake….” Hailey popped her head out of the carrier and seemed eager to greet whoever was in the room. She allowed the counselor to pick her up multiple times and did not flinch while she was being held. During her intake she was moving around quite a bit and was consistently offering the counselor headbutts and soft purrs. While she was being photographed she was moving around a bit and looked as if she wanted to walk around the office. She allowed the counselor to place her back into the carrier and was given food which she started to eat.”…..THERE MUST BE A SPECIAL PURRSON OUT THERE TONIGHT WHO CAN GIVE THIS GENTLE LADY A HOME FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE!! Whether it’s a long life or a short life it’s the quality that counts!! IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO GIVE HAILEY A LOVING HOME WHERE SHE WILL BE CHERISHED, EMAIL US AT [email protected]…….

09/25/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
09/25/16 19:23 BASICS: Hailey is a twelve year old spayed cat. Her owner had acquired her through a rescue roughly ten years ago. She had to be surrendered due to severe allergies. SOCIALIZATION: Hailey walks up to strangers and greets them. She has no qualms about being picked up or pet by people she does not know. She had been around a fifteen year old and had played gently with him. Similarly she enjoys gentle play with adults and would often be found cuddling with her owners. She had also spent some time with other cats and had played gently with them. However in the presence of dogs Hailey has a tendency to hiss and show her teeth. BEHAVIOR: She exclusively uses her litterbox and never has any accidents. She also does not seeme to be scared of loud noises. Inside the carrier she becomes very vocal until she is let out. When she had been given a bath she had not seemed to mind. Similarly she seems to really enjoy, and will sit still while she is being brushed. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW: Her previous family described her overall demeanor as affectionate and friendly. She is a low energy cat that can often be found following her owner around the home or sleeping. However that is not the say that she does not like her play-time. Some of her favorite activities include going up and down the stairs and climbing. Hailey had been kept mostly indoors but would often follow her owner into the backyard. She appeared relaxed outside but would quickly follow her owner back into the home. Inside the home she had utilized a cat bed that her owner had made for her. Her litterbox had been uncovered and the litter had been of the clumping variety. Her diet had consisited of a mix of dry and wet food (Meow Mix). Laslty she would not scratch on furniture; instead she would make use of the rug that her owner got for her. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE: Hailey popped her head out of the carrier and seemed eager to greet whoever was in the room. She allowed the counselor to pick her up multiple times and did not flinch while she was being held. During her intake she was moving around quite a bit and was consistently offering the counselor headbutts and soft purrs. While she was being photographed she was moving around a bit and looked as if she wanted to walk around the office. She allowed the counselor to place her back into the carrier and was given food which she started to eat.
