Tried to bite, scratch, hissing and vocalizing EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is slightly re-arranged Reaction to assessor: Guava was growling and hissing when the assessor pulled up the cage cover. Reaction when softly spoken to: Guava arches her back and continues to low growl at the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Guava hisses and lunges forward when attempting to open the door. Reaction to touch: Guava hisses and displays distance increasing behaviors when you approach her. She seems very uncomfortable and currently doesn’t allow any contact. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Skittish RECOMMENDATIONS: Placement with a New Hope partner – Guava is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home.
