***SAFE 07/02/16*** GRYLA WAS TRAPPED IN SOMEONE’S YARD AND BROUGHT DIRECTLY TO THE ACC WHERE HE NOW WILL DIE EVEN THOUGH HE IS PERFECTLY HEALTHY!! GRYLA was tricked into someone’s trap with the smell of food when he was probably very hungry. Sadly, this person just wanted to get rid of this cat, not caring if GRYLA was someone’s pet or a neighborhood stray. GRYLA did allow some petting and handling but of course isn’t “THRIVING” in the shelter where he was stuffed into a small cage and warehoused until tonight’s list. GRYLA is a very handsome gray kitty and only 3 years old. He is definitely in good shape which tells us he may have been a lost pet. GRYLA NEEDS A MIRACLE TONIGHT. CAN YOU BE HIS MIRACLE? EMAIL THE HELP DESK AT [email protected] FOR RESCUE INFO TO GET HANDSOME GRYLA TO SAFETY.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Gryla looks tense in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Gryla remains hiding in the cat den, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Gryla accepts the stroke, but shows no interest to the touch and tightly curls up in place. Placement determination: Experience / no child Gryla tolerates attention and petting, but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
