**SAFE 06/03/16** GORGEOUS GRAYSON GREY ANGEL NEEDS NEW FRIEND! Ugh! Here we again another precious adoptable kitty whose live is at risk due to his former owner’s irresponsibility. Meet two year old Grayson, who was sadly surrendered a couple of weeks ago when his family moved and decided not to take him along. Grayson lived with his family since he was a kitten. They claim to have purchased him at a pet store. Another ugh! They also never bothered to get this sweet soul neutered. Grayson has spent the past couple of weeks at the shelter–tolerating petting and handling but is naturally, shy and scared in his surroundings. He was described as friendly and affectionate. Now that he has caught the curable kitty cold, he has been fast tracked to tonight’s at risk list where he and 25 other precious lives are in peril. On top of that, it’s a holiday weekend but sadly, there’s no vacay from euthanasia and this could very well be Grayson’s last night on this planet UNLESS his hero steps up. Please be that special purrson to offer to foster or adopt this kind and gentle boy. You may reserve him online or contact a New Hope rescue who can help arrange transportation. Email our help desk and we will help you make this possible–[email protected] Grayson will make a purrfect companion to a lucky purrson but not unless you make the call for him NOW!!!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Grayson’s former owner stated he is shy at first around strangers, but quickly warms up to you. He plays gentle with adults. He has not lived with children or with another animal. Also, best described as friendly, affectionate and playful. Reaction to assessor: Grayson looks tense, crouched position on his cage bedding when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Grayson hisses at the assessor, body held tightly, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Grayson hisses at first, then began to lip lick in place and meow quietly at the assessor’s hand. During the touch, he stiffens up in place and began to slowly lean into the stroke, but remains wary with his surroundings. Placement determination: Experience / no child Grayson tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
