KNOWN HISTORY: Grape was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. During intake Grape had a soft and relaxed body. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Observed behavior- friendly ENRICHMENT NOTES: Click here to paste enrichment entries if applicable. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Grape is relaxed lying in his litter box in the corner of his kennel. He makes eye contact and meows at assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Grape meows and continues to relax. Reaction to cage door opening: Grape is motionless but keeps a steady eye on the assessor. His ears are up and tilted forwards. Grape lip licks and stands up to come forward to the assessor. Reaction to touch: Grape allows petting all over. He leans in for chin rubs and purrs. Grape’s tail is straight up in the air with a slight hook at the end of his tail. Reaction to being picked up: Grape tolerates being picked up. He continues to purr and lean in for chin rubs while being held, but his meows are elongated. After a short period of time Grape leaps back into his kennel and continues to solicit attention in front of kennel. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back, Moderate VOCAL: Somewhat chatty CHARACTER TYPE: Affectionate, Sweet, Social BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner Grape interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
