Hello, my name is Grape. My animal id is #13100. I am a male black cat at the Brooklyn Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 6 months 1 weeks old. – P
I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 19-Nov-2017, with the surrender reason stated as poor choice – too many animals already.

Grape is at risk due to being diagnosed with an Upper Respiratory Infection and will likely require home rest and a series of antibiotics for up to 14 days. This is a contagious illness to other cats. Based on his behavior assessment we recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.

Reaction to assessor:: Grape was curled up and becomes alert when the assessor approaches.
Reaction when softly spoken to:: Grape lip licks and slowly inches away with his tail lowered.
Reaction to cage door opening:: Grape is alert and remains motionless.
Reaction to touch:: Grape lowers his head and keeps his eyes focused on the assessor’s movements. He sniffs when approached and accepts gentle petting on his head and along his body. After a few minutes of attention he starts to warm up, gives head butts and leans in for cheek rubs.
