***SAFE 06/14/16*** GOOGLE and INSTAGRAM are so much more than popular online sites—they are the names of two KITTENS who need rescue heroes, tonight! Brought to the ACC with their friend, Linkin, these pretty tabbies are terrified of the ACC. Instagram is guesstimated to be 8 months old and PREGNANT, Google is guesstimated to be about a year old, and BOTH kittens need help from a NEW HOPE rescue to live beyond lunchtime, tomorrow! Please advocate strongly for both of these tabby treasures, tonight!

06/09/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Google was brought in as stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He was very difficult to handle upon intake and was hissing and growling when placed into a new carrier. He did not tolerate handling during his initial medical exam. The enrichment facilitator reports he was tense and his ears flatten when touched, and hisses when he’s had enough. Reaction to assessor: Google becomes stiff and alert upon approach. He focuses on the assessor and is shaking. Reaction when softly spoken to: Google looks at the assessor with dilated eyes and continues to shake. Reaction to cage door opening: Google crouches over and shifts away to the back. Reaction to touch: Google’s ears tilt sideways and he starts to growl. He focuses on the assessor’s hand, allows brief touch, but hisses and shifts away again. He starts to growl louder and no further contact was made. Placement Determination: New Hope Only Google is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. He is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
