Hello, my name is Golden. My animal id is #10047. I am a desexed female orange tabby cat at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 2 years 2 weeks old. – P
I came into the shelter as a stray on 18-Oct-2017.
Golden is being placed at risk due to having an Upper Respiratory Infection which is contagious to other cats. He will likely require in home care and a course of antibiotics. There are no known behavior concerns for Golden at this time.

DVM Intake Exam Estimated age: 2-3 years based on overall size and dentition Microchip noted on Intake? Scanned neg on intake History : Stray, being fed outside. Came in with one 8 week old kitten. Subjective: Alert, walks around Observed Behavior – Allows all handling Objective BAR-H, MMs pink and moist, BCS 5/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted Oral Exam: Clean adult teeth PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: Female. Caudal mammary glands are engorged and lactating. MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Rectal: Normal externally. Assessment: Lactating Prognosis: Excellent Plan: Placement SURGERY: Okay for surgery 1088
Pre-spay exam S/O QAR, docile, allows handling curled up with kitten in cage (no longer nursing) mm pk, moist no nasal discharge or sneezing noted or reported eupnic, no murmur noted on intake A Healthy P okay to spay
Sneezing and congested this morning. Move to isolation, start doxycycline 0.8 ml PO SID x10 days. 1088
Pre-surgical exam, anesthesia, and surgery performed by ASPCA. Green linear tattoo placed lateral to incision. Start 0.48 cc simbadol 1.8 mg/ml sid x 3 days and 0.36 cc Robenacoxib 20 mg/ml sid x 3 days as pain management.

Golden was soft-bodied and allowed me to pet her, pick her up, collar her, and photograph her.
Basic Information:: Golden is an adult female cat. Her finders brought her to ACC with her kitten. They had been feeding them in their yard.
Previously lived with:: Adult man and woman, teenager
How is this cat around strangers?: Golden approaches her finders and allows them to pet and handle her.
KNOWN HISTORY:: Golden was brought in as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:: Observed Behavior – Allows all handling
ENRICHMENT NOTES:: Resting in litter box, soft eyes and body, dozing. Lay in place when door opened, leaned into pets, closed eyes again.
Cage Condition:: Cage is neat
Reaction to assessor:: Golden remains neutral, lying down on her cage bedding when approach.
Reaction when softly spoken to:: Golden shows interest and stands up in place.
Reaction to cage door opening:: Golden engages the front with tail up, soft eyes , ears erect and forward.
Reaction to touch:: Golden leans into the assessor’s hand, purrs, and appreciates the petting on the head and body.
Reaction to being picked up:: She grumbles when briefly pickup then jumps back into the cage.
ACTIVITY LEVEL:: Moderate
VOCAL:: Quiet
