GEORGE – A1092343
Gone - 10-8-2016 Manhattan
***GONE 10/08/16*** TOO MANY CATS IS THE REASON POOR GEORGE AND HIS 2 PALS WERE DUMPED IN THE SHELTER!! GEORGE was brought into the ACC with his 2 housemates HAMMOND A1092344 and PEACH A1092341 who are not listed tonight but still need rescue. All three of these kitties are orange and very very handsome. GEORGE is perfectly healthy, and about 4 years old. He and his pals are afraid but that is because they want their owner back – not the ACC staff! GEORGE is on the public adoption site tonight and you can reserve him there or ask a rescue to help. GEORGE needs a hero to offer to foster or adopt. If you can help GEORGE and maybe even a pal or two, please email [email protected] for rescue info. DON’T WAIT!! THE ACC WON’T WAIT FOR YOU TO ACT – AT NOON HIS TIME IS UP!!

10/07/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: George looks tense, hiding in the cat den when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: George remains crouched position at the back, alert with eyes dilated. Reaction to touch: George accepts the stroke, but stiffens up and shows no interest to the touch while he remians wary with his environment. Placement determination: Experience / no child George tolerates attention and petting, but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
