KNOWN HISTORY: Geo was brought into the care center with unknown history. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Observed Behavior – calm ENRICHMENT NOTES: 4/9/17 Came to the front on approach, soft eyes and body. Began rubbing against and reaching through bars when spoken to. Sniffed hand, leaned into pets, explored cage. 4/10/17 At the front on approach, rubbing against and reaching through the bars. Very high energy and playful. Ducked away from head pets, arched into pets along body and really liked butt scratches. 4/11/17 At the front on approach again, soft eyes and body, immediately started waving through the bars. Leaned and arched into pets, played vigorously with toys. 4/12/17 Playing vigorously with pipe cleaner toy on approach, then lay down at front, soft eyes and body. Stood when door opened. Leaned and arched into pets, purred. Very interested in getting out of kennel, but easy to handle. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is slightly re-arranged Reaction to assessor: Geo looks neutral, sitting upright by the front when approached. Reaction to cage door opening: Geo engages the front, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Geo leans into the assessor’s hand and enjoys petting . Reaction to being picked up: Geo is curious to wander on the floor instead of being pickup. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Energetic VOCAL: Talkative CHARACTER TYPE: Playful, Sweet, and Curious BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Geo interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
