GARY – A1100871- 8 yr neutered male
Gary is an 8 year old neutered male DSH that owner has to surrender due to personal problems.
According to the owner, around strangers Gary is shy at first but once comfortable will approach the person and rub his face against them purring. He has been around children ages 4-13 & was always respectful and playful with the children. Owner had 19 other cats in the home & stated that Gary was always respectful around the other cats. He has never been around other dogs so behavior is unknown. Gary has never bit another animal or person while in the care of the owner.
Gary is afraid of being given a bath, having his nails trimmed and being put into a carrier and will struggle to run away. He is not bothered by having her coat brushed and being picked up/held.
For a New Family to Know:
Gary is described as friendly, affectionate, playful and quiet with a low activity level. In the home, Gary liked to be in his favorite spot. He enjoys playing with balls, string toys, and catnip toys in the home. Gary was kept indoors only & is litter box trained. In the home, he used a hooded litter box with clumping litter. Owner had a scratching post made of carpet in the home that Gary used but owner also stated that Gary would scratch on the furniture in the home. Gary was fed both wet & dry food brand name Friskies.
