Garfield was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Garfield was at the front of the kennel meowing softly and looking around at his surroundings. Reaction when softly spoken to: Garfield is vocal and starts head butting the kennel door. Reaction to cage door opening: Garfield is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Garfield allows petting all over his body and meows softly for attention. He rubs up, gives light head butts hand and will occasionally stop and focus on the assessor’s hand. Reaction to being picked up: Garfield is a bit tense and is wary of his environment but allows all handling. Behavior Determination: Average Garfield interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
