Profile::
BASIC INFO
Caligula and Gaia are neutered male and spayed female cats respectively. They are 10.5 years old and are sibling from the same litter. Caligula is a tabby cat and Gaia looks like a Siamese cat. Their owner got them 10.5 years ago from a friend when they were 2 weeks old. He needs to rehome them because his new spouse is severely allergic to them. Allergy shots and other mitigation methods were unsuccessful in reducing her allergic reactions. Their owners would like to make a donation towards their care.
SOCIALIZATION
Caligula is super friendly, affectionate, and outgoing with strangers. Gaia is shy but becomes friendly and affectionate with new people within a few days. They lived with a 2-4 year old child. Caligula was always playful and affectionate and tolerant with him. Gaia was shy and cautious at first but became relaxed, respectful, and tolerant with him. The cats play gently with people. Caligula and Gaia spent most of their time together. They are affectionate and cuddle often. They play gently-exuberantly together. Their owner thinks they would do best if they could stay together. A large dog visited them for one day. Gaia hid. Caligula approached and sniffed him. Neither cat has bit or scratched anyone.
BEHAVIOR
Caligula and Gaia don’t mind being picked up/held, having their nails trimmed, being woken up, or being put in a carrier. Gaia is easily startled by sudden movements (she cowers briefly).
FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW

Gaia is medium energy and loves to cuddle and to scratch and roll around the scratching post with catnip on it. Both cats follow their owners, sit in their laps, and enjoy sitting in the sun by the window. They played with stuffed toys, catnip toys, and laser pointers. They lived inside and slept with their owner. They are dry Purina complete food. They are litter trained, used covered and open litter boxes with clumping litter, and didn’t have accidents. They scratched a flat, round, cardboard scratching board and a carpeted scratching pyramid and didn’t scratch furniture.
