***SAFE 04/03/16*** FUZZY IS REALLY FANTASTIC!!….Her former owner said she didn’t get along with the three young kids, but failed to mention how the three young kids interacted with FUZZY who is only 11 months old herself…..It is hardly surprising then that FUZZY is totally mellowing out at the ACC away from those kids…..hmmmm? FUZZY is aleady SPAYED and she is playful and loved to sleep with her owner. SO THE PICTURE BECOMES CLEAR…..FUZZY WAS NOT THE PROBLEM…..If you are a looking for a bright, fun companion, please consider FUZZY tonight!! SHE’S A LOVER NOT A FIGHTER!! If you need assistance, email [email protected]

03/25/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Fuzzy lived previously with 3 young children, and was surrendered for scratching the children. She is noted to play roughly and to have been afraid of the kids. She is described as mellow, assertive, shy, independent and quiet, with a medium activity level. Fuzzy loves water and stuffed teddy bears. Fuzzy was agitated at intake and did not allow handling at intake or during her initial medical examination. However, she has made great progress with the help of an enrichment facilitator. On her first day she was hiding in her den, hissing and growling. With some acclimation time Fuzzy walked up to the enrichment facilitator, rubbed on the bars and began purring. She continued demonstrating that behavior when approached, initiating contact and leaning in for petting, and purring loudly throughout the interaction. Reaction to assessor: Fuzzy is at the front of the cage. Reaction to cage door opening: Remains at the front, body soft, purring. Reaction to touch: Fuzzy head butts the assessor’s hand and allows petting on the head and body. Placement determination: Experienced home without young children Fuzzy has been social and interactive with her caretakers at the care center, after an acclimation period. However, due to her experience in her previous home and in line with her previous owner’s recommendation, we advise that Fuzzy will be most comfortable in a home without young children. Homes with older (10+) cat savvy children can be considered pending interaction.
