04/30/17 18:30 BASIC INFO Friskies a1110601 is an approximately 6 month old dsh kitten. He is being surrendered to the shelter because he was trapped inside of a food warehouse in the Bronx. Finder trapped Friskies and brought him to ACCNYC. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE Friskies went from inide of the trap, to a cat net, to a cat carrier. Counselor unable to handle.

ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Bold, Independent KNOWN HISTORY: The cat was brought in to the care center as a stray with unknown history. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 5/1/17- Observed Behavior – WILL FLEE; very nervous/timid; some hissing, resists restraint EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Friskies looks tense, crouched position st the back. Reaction to cage door opening: Sadie stiffens up, hisses, eyes wandering around. Reaction to touch: Friskies retreats further to the back and avoids any contact. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Friskies is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
