02/22/17 Monitor for diarrhea. O: BARH. Very social and active. Eating well. No diarrhea in cage or reported today. EENT: Minimal serous nasal discharge, no sneezing or congestion. A: No signs of recurring diarhhea. URI improving. P: Continue to monitor. Excellent prognosis. 02/21/17 Monitor for diarrhea. O: BARH. Social, rubbing bars of cage. Eating well. No diarrhea in cage or reported today. A: History of one episode of diarrhea – appears to be resolved. P: Continue to monitor. Excellent prognosis. 02/20/17 Diarrhea noted this AM by ACO. O: BARH. Eating/drinking well, social. Very small amount of soft formed feces in cage, no vomiting. EENT: Slight serous ocular discharge and nasal discharge, small abrasion on nose. A: URI. O: BARH. mm=pink, moist, CRT<2 s. Eating well, very social. ORAL: WNL. EENT: OU – mild serous discharge, conjunctival erythema. Small abrasion on nasal planum. No discharge or sneezing. Small number of sneeze marks in cage. H/L: Lungs clear. A: Pre-existing conjunctivits. Abrasion on nose – r/o rubbing at face after eye ointment is applied. Mild URI. P: Swab taken for respiratory PCR. Move to iso. Rx Doxycyline 50 mg/ml 1 ml Po q 24 hours x 10 days. Excellent prognosis.

02/18/17 13:36 Upon intake Frida was very friendly, and relaxed. While Admissions office the counselor noticed that she was sneezeing frequntly, and heard Frida’s Heavy breathing. Frida allowed the counselor to hold and collar her and went into the carrier when food was placed inside.

KNOWN HISTORY: Frida was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Frida gets up immediately and comes over to greet the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Frida reaches out with paws and gently rubs up against the kennel door for attention. Reaction to cage door opening: Frida is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Frida head butts the assessor’s hand, purrs softly and allows petting all over his body. He is incredibly affectionate and walks out the kennel and lies down on the assessor’s lap. Reaction to being picked up: Frida is calm, relaxed and nuzzles in the assessor’s arms. ENRICHMENT NOTES: 02/19/17 In adoptions, sneezing, runny nose, appear to have a small cut on nose, eyes are red (being treated for conjunctivitis), reported on symptoms log. Sweet, social, attention-seeking, purrs!, limited interaction until after morning vet rounds. 02/20/17 Social and attention-seeking, in iso for URI care. Friendly, appreciates attention. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Allows all handling. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Lively VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Social, Sweet, Affectionate, People Oriented BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Please note that Frida is being treated for an upper respiratory infection at the time of the behavior assessment. This condition may affect some of the behaviors shown during evaluation. _x_ Beginner Frida interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting.
