Lying next to kennel mates, body and face tense. Makes eye contact when spoken to, then looks away. Tolerates petting along head and body while turning head to watch my hand and tilting ears. Needs more time to adjust.
12/11/17
Huddled next to litter mates, body tense. Makes eye contact and tilts ears. Tolerates petting with a slow approach while backing away and maintaining eye contact. I clicker train them, rewarding each time they come forward. Likes treats – will continue to clicker train.

Cage is slightly re-arranged
Reaction to assessor:
Freedom was lying down by the front and makes eye contact with the assessor.
Reaction when softly spoken to:
Freedom looks at the assessor with wide eyes.
Reaction to cage door opening:
Freedom becomes alert and backs away slightly.
Reaction to touch:
Freedom was hesitant, but accepts petting and keeps a low body posture. He doesn’t seem to mind attention, but is a little tense.
Reaction to being picked up:
Freedom is a bit tense during pick up, but remains calm when held.
