ACTIVITY LEVEL: Lively VOCAL: Talkative CHARACTER TYPE: Social, Sweet MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 8/3/17-Observed Behavior – calm, allows exam, solicits petting ENRICHMENT NOTES: 8/3/17- Dozing in cubby, woke and came out to main compartment when given toys. Played gently with mouse toy, then lay down on shelf, soft eyes and body. Rubbed against the bars when spoken to. Leaned and arched into pets, purred. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Franz immediately comes soliciting at the front of the cage. Reaction to door opening: Franz remains standing at the front of the cage, relaxed body posture, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Franz head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner Franz interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
