01/09/16 17:12 Basic Information: Fozzie is 1 year and 2 months. He is a neutered domestic short hair and he is declawed. His previous owner adopted him from ACC but had to return him because his partner had asthma. Fozzie went to the vet 2 months ago and received medication for his sneezing. The two things his previous owner liked most about him were; he’s sweet and calm. Social Life and Personality: Fozzie has not been around children, dogs or other cats in his previous home. He is litter box trained and was kept indoors only. He has a medium activity level and can be described as confident, friendly, mellow, affectionate and independent. Behavior: Fozzie has never attempted to bite another person or animal. His previous owner has never attempted give him a bath. He enjoys having his coat brushed. He isn’t bothered if he is picked up, placed in a carrier or disturbed while sleeping. For a New Family to Know: Fozzie used clumping cat litter in a hooded litter box. He showed little interest in toys and doesn’t scratch. When his previous owners were home he would tend to follow them around. He enjoyed car rides and ate both wet and dry Purina and Fancy Feist. At night he slept on the couch. Behavior during intake: Fozzie allowed me to pet him, collar him and showed no signs of aggression.

Reaction to assessor: Fozzie does not come to the front, but looks at the assessor – is calm, relaxed and friendly. Reaction when softly spoken to: Fozzie does not come to the front, but looks at the assessor – is calm, relaxed and friendly. Reaction to cage door opening: Fozzie remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Fozzie solicits petting and attention – rubbing against the assessor’s hand. Reaction to being picked up: Fozzie grumbles slightly at first, then sits calmly in the assessor’s arms. Behavior Determination: Average Fozzie interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat can go to a beginner home. Fozzie is described as shy, Friendly, and mellow with a medium activity level. With the other cats she lived with, Fozzie was described as being aloof. Reaction to assessor: Fozzie looks neutral in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Fozzie remains lying down on his cage bedding, relaxed soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Fozzie accepts the stroke, purrs in place, and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: He calmly jumps back into his cage. Placement determination: Average Fozzie interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
