Foxy was brought into ACC due to owner moving to a residence that does not allow pets. SOCIALIZATION: Foxy is friendly and social with strangers and adults. Foxy has not been exposed to children or other animals. Foxy plays gently with the adults in the home and loves attention and affection. Foxy has not bitten or scratched another person or animal within the past 10 days and does not have a bite history. BEHAVIOR: Foxy has not been bathed and will tolerate nail trimming. Foxy allows the owner to brush his coat and pick him up. Foxy also allows the owner to place him in a carrier with ease. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW: Foxy is best described as a friendly affectionate and playful cat. His activity level is medium-high and loves to sunbathe, play with cat toys and play with his owner. Foxy has been kept indoors only and sleeps on his cat bed. Foxy enjoys eating wet and dry food from any brand 3-4X per day. Foxy also enjoys eating treats from brand Temptations. Foxy is litter box trained and uses an open litter box with clumping or clay litter. Foxy occasionally scratched on carpet and needs a scratching post made of carpet and rough rope. BEHAVIOR UPON INTAKE: Upon intake, Foxy displayed a relaxed body, Foxy tolerated all handling and scanned negative.

MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Observed Behavior – Allows exam EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Foxy approaches the front and is calm, relaxed, and friendly. Reaction when softly spoken to: Foxy gets up and places her paw on the cage door, sniffing around. Reaction to cage door opening: Foxy remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Foxy head-butts, leans in for rubs, and begins to purr. He hops out of the kennel in an attempt to explore, but he allows the assessor to pick him up and place him on his lap to receive petting. Reaction to being picked up: Foxy remains soft and continues to purr when held. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate, Lively VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Social, Sweet, Affectionate BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner Foxy interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting.
