Exam Type BEHAVIOR
KNOWN HISTORY: Flurry was brought in as a stray, so there is no information on her behavior history or tendencies in a home environment. Her finder reported she scratched them on their hand when they grabbed her and startled her. She allowed all handling during intake and was a bit fearful, but she became more relaxed and started to purr after being caressed and petted. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Observed behavior – social ENRICHMENT NOTES: 09/11/17 Sitting upright by the front, looking around. Climbs on door and reaches out, curious. Flees to the back when door opens and is hesitant of touch, batting my hand curiously. Once touched he arches body and leans in, purring. Might nip playfully and plays with hand, but very gentle and soft. Nuzzles when held, so sweet! 09/13/17 Playing with random objects in kennel, has lots of energy. Looks when spoken to and leaps to the front, curious. Still a bit unsure of touch initially, but quickly warms up when petted and starts to purr. Arches body and leans in for cheek rubs. Really sweet kitten. 09/14/17 Resting, curled up in blanket. Perks up as the cage door opens and shifts away slightly when hand extends, but warms up quickly when pet. Leans in for rubs and rolls over, purring. Will open mouth to nip when pet too roughly, but overall very soft and easy going. Purrs and nuzzles when held.
