04/30/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO
04/30/17 19:15 Basic Fluffy is an 4 year old neutered dmh. His owner has had him since 2013 when his mother (A1110596) gave birth at home. She is surrendering her because other members in the house have allergies. He has not been to the vet in a long time and has had no injuries health problems. Socialization Fluffy is relaxed around strangers and is calm. He has spent time with children ages 10 and 8 in the home and with them is relaxed. He is respectful of the children and tolerates handling from them but does not seek attention much. He plays gently with adults and children. He has lived with 3 other cats in the home, 2 females and 1 male (A1110598- his brother). With them he is respectful and relaxed. He plays with them gently and sometimes exuberantly. He and his brother play exuberantly all the time. He has spent time with a medium sized dog, but they did not come into contact much. He seemed to tolerate him when they would come into contact. He does not have a bite history. Behavior Fluffy will sometimes scratch on the furniture sometimes but otherwise is very well-behaved. He has never been in a car. He does not have litterbox problems. His owner never bathed her. He isn’t bothered when his owner cuts her nails, picks him up and holds him, disturbs him while resting or sleeping. He struggles when being put in the carrier. He tolerates being brushed but will run away and as a result has some matting. For New Family Fluffy is affectionate, mellow and friendly. His activity level is medium. His owner loves how relaxed he is and how easy he is to care for. Fluffy loves to play with his toys, and look out the window. He will be in the same room as his owner or in his favorite spot when at home. He loves to play with balls and string toys. He has been kept indoors only and sleeps in his owner’s bed or on the windowsill. He eats both wet and dry food 2x day. He is litterbox trained and uses both a uncovered and hooded litterbox with Fresh Step clumping litter. He’s never had a scratching post and uses the furniture to scratch his nails on. During intake Fluffy was nervous with dilated pupils. He allowed all handling and collaring and also allowed the counselor to trim his nails and look inside his mouth.
