Safe - 5-24-2017 Manhattan
***SAFE 05/24/17*****BEGINNER ALERT…FIONA & FINN LISTED TONIGHT…Fiona is a pawsitively gorgeous mama with two equally gorgeous kittens! She is very friendly, as are her kittens, but she and one of the kittens (Fitz) tested positive for FeLV. (Fitz died on 5/17/17). Fiona also has a spot of alopecia on her ear that possibly fluoresced under a Wood’s lamp, so she might have ringworm (we are currently waiting on results from her DTM). Neither of the kittens have been seen to have any signs of ringworm at this time. Please help a family in need today!

05/15/17 15:40 Fiona A1112065 is a young female brown tabby & white DSH feline who along with her kittens Fitz A1112066 & Finn A1112067 were picked up from a neighbor’s yard in the Bronx earlier that didn’t want them there anymore. The finder isn’t able/willing to keep the family either. The finder stated Fiona & Fitz were easy to place into the carrier but Finn was a little fiesty as he hissed and tried to avoid being picked up/held. During intake Fiona was a dream and allowed all handling. She’s very sweet; head butting, kneading, purring, chirping & soliciting attention/affection. Fiona allowed to be collared & taken pictures of including positioning her during her photo session, however due to her moving around so much and attempting to jump off the back drop table I had to take her picture in her kennel. Fiona still moved around quite a bit including rolling over, purring and kneading in the air that it took me several tries to finally get a picture of her. Fiona appeared to appreciate the attention/affection and was placed into a kennel with ease (while in my arms she was kneading on my forearms).

05/15/17 15:54 Finn A1112067 is a young male white & brown tabby DSH kitten who along with his brother Fitz A1112066 & mom Fiona A1112065 were picked up from a neighbor’s yard in the Bronx earlier that didn’t want them there anymore. The finder isn’t able/willing to keep the family either. The finder stated Fiona & Fitz were easy to place into the carrier but Finn was a little fiesty as he hissed and tried to avoid being picked up/held. During intake initially Finn hissed and retreated to the rear of the kennel but once I had him in my hands he stopped and made a cute meow sound. Finn allowed all handling and would cling on to your hand/shoulder. Finn ate the canned kitten food on his own but it wasn’t noticed if he’ll nurse off of Fiona. Finn was then picked up/held which he didn’t seem to mind & was placed into a kennel with ease atop linen with Fitz & Fiona.
