***SAFE 11/01/16*** CHILD AND DOG FRIENDLY FIONA WAS DUMPED FOR PERSONAL PROBLEMS – NOW SHE IS THE ONE WITH THE BIGGEST PROBLEM – FINDING A RESCUE ANGEL BY NOON!! Somewhere behind this awful photo is a very pretty chocolate point kitty who is about 5 years old. She lived with young children and dogs and was relaxed and easy going around them. FIONA also has a quirky love for playing with socks! FIONA also would occasionally like to sit on laps too! This shy girl needs a new purrson to get her to safety before the clock strikes noon. FIONA got an EXPERIENCE rating only because she is tense and nervous in the shelter. Of course this is normal – she is used to being in a loving home! GIVE FIONA A FREEDOM RIDE TONIGHT BY CONTACTING A RESCUE NOW TO OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT!!

10/22/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
As pre previous owner, Fiona is a 5 year old cat that has been in the home with 2 adults, 2 young children ages 6 and 4 along with 2 dogs. She is described as friendly, easy going and she likes to stay in quiet places. Fiona does not like to be picked up but she will come and sit on your lap when she feels like it. She does not play with toys but she likes to play with loose socks. Reaction to assessor: Fiona was lying down at the back of the kennel with her head lowered. Reaction when softly spoken to: Fiona slow blinks at the assessor, keeps her tail at her side and doesn’t come forward when coaxed. Reaction to cage door opening: Fiona becomes alert and lifts her head up. Reaction to touch: Fiona closes her eyes when the assessor extends his hand out and allows petting with a slow approach. Her body is stiff and she becomes immobile when touches along her body. After a couple soft passes she seems to open up then leaned in when rubbed on her cheeks. She is confident at the back and doesn’t get up or come forward. Behavior Determination: Experience Fiona may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
